Welcome to WI-ACE!
Hi, everyone! My name is Aiyana Dettmann and I’m the incoming 2022 President of the Wisconsin Association of Colleges and Employers. I’m here to extend a warm welcome to our members, both new and old, and provide a few updates about what you can expect from WI-ACE this year.
If you attended our Fall Conference, you may remember that we asked for your feedback on our organization’s Value Proposition. We wanted to know why you value your WI-ACE membership, how we can continue to support those values, and what we can do better.
It will come as no surprise to many of you that one theme came through loud and clear: our members value connection, through the networking, resource sharing, and relationship building that happens at our conferences and events. You asked us to continue offering these types of opportunities, focusing on timely and relevant topics.
Reflecting this feedback, and in celebration of coming together for our first in-person event since December 2019, our Spring Conference theme is Reconnect, Reengage, Reimagine. Our Planning Committee is working diligently to prepare a safe and valuable gathering and we hope you’ll join us for a day of learning and fellowship with colleagues from around the state.
As we continue to navigate new challenges and adjusted expectations this year, I hope you see WI-ACE as a community you can lean into for resources, wisdom, and support. Each of you contribute to our mission to provide an opportunity to share knowledge and ideas that inspire, guide, and promote best practices that effectively connect students and employers.
I’m so proud to serve as your President this year and I can’t wait to be together again, whether at our upcoming conferences, our virtual happy hours and coffee chats, or at a career fair. Let’s make it a great year, WI-ACE!
WI-ACE President, 2022
